COINMEX · METHODOLOGY

How the numbers are calculated —
and where their limits begin.

Live market data can differ by source, timing and fallback. CoinMEX documents the formula, preferred sources and known limitations behind each tool.

01 · KOREA PREMIUM

Kimchi Premium

Domestic KRW ÷ (global USDT × USDT/USD × USD/KRW) - 1. USDT is treated as an asset too, so its own Korea premium is not normalized away.

Single-source and cross-exchange-disputed symbols are withheld from matched results. The market median uses up to 30 verified, high-turnover non-stable assets and excludes ±20% extremes only from the representative value.

02 · MARKET DATA

Prices, funding and OI

Public Binance, Bybit, Bitget and OKX data is preferred. Safe fallbacks are used only when necessary and source limitations are surfaced rather than hidden.

03 · LISTING RADAR

Listing Radar

Official APIs or public announcements are prioritized. Countdown labels appear only when an exchange actually provides launchTime/listTime.

04 · LIQUIDATIONS

Liquidation direction

LONG/SHORT means the position that was force-closed. Rallies and short squeezes usually increase SHORT liquidations; sharp selloffs usually increase LONG liquidations.

Bitget history notional is a price × amount comparison estimate, not an audited exchange-wide liquidation total.

05 · MACRO

Calendar time zones

Korean calendar pages classify dates in Asia/Seoul (KST); English pages use UTC. Calendar sourcing can change with provider terms and coverage, so the active source and limits are disclosed on the page.

06 · COMMERCIAL SEPARATION

Data is separate from referral offers

Market calculations do not change based on affiliate benefits. Exchange links live in separate conversion areas and do not alter data ranking or formulas.

Practical limitation

Public APIs, caches and exchange restrictions can create short-lived differences from the exchange UI. Confirm critical values at the official source before trading.
